Errata Policy

What we correct

Factual errors; misrepresentation of someone's research, writing or other work; misquotes and misattributions; inaccurate statements about real people or organisations; and anything that could cause harm if acted on. Disagreeing with a host's opinion is not an error, though we are still happy to hear it.

Who reviews it

A person reads every report. Reports from people whose own work or person was misrepresented are flagged and read first. We aim to acknowledge a report within a few working days and to act on valid ones as quickly as possible.

What we do

Depending on how serious the error is, we correct the episode's description and transcript and add a correction note to the episode page, regenerate or edit the audio, or take the episode down. Where it is appropriate, we also acknowledge the correction in a later episode. If we decide not to make a change, we will tell you why.

Copies we don't control

We update our website, podcast feed and our own public datasets. Podcast apps, search engines and third-party mirrors refresh on their own schedules, so an old version can linger elsewhere for a while after we have fixed it.

Legal and privacy requests

For takedown, defamation, copyright or privacy requests, use the form with the closest error type or email show@myweirdprompts.com directly. These are handled with the same priority as misrepresentation reports.
