Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you wanted to know about a sloth, a donkey, and an automated podcast pipeline.
What is My Weird Prompts?
My Weird Prompts is a podcast where a real human (Daniel Rosehill) records voice prompts about whatever is on his mind, and two AI hosts — Corn the sloth and Herman the donkey — discuss the topic in a full-length episode. The entire production pipeline, from transcription to publication, is automated.
Who are Corn and Herman?
Corn is a laid-back sloth and Herman is an enthusiastic donkey. They are the AI co-hosts of the show. Their voices are single-shot voice clones created by Daniel using Chatterbox TTS, based on how he imagines these characters would sound. They live in Jerusalem with Daniel and his family.
Is the podcast really made by AI?
Yes. The only human-created element in each episode is Daniel's original prompt. Everything else — the script, dialogue, show notes, cover art, and audio — is generated by AI. Every LLM stage runs on DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, Chatterbox handles text-to-speech on GPU, and fal.ai generates cover art.
How are episodes made?
I submit a prompt — via the send-app or MCP admin server — and the cloud pipeline on Modal takes over: (1) transcribes and researches the topic, (2) generates a script using DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, (3) runs a deterministic polish pass that strips verbal tics, rotates overused phrases, and names related episodes in the sign-off (there is no second LLM review pass), (4) converts the script to audio using three parallel Chatterbox TTS workers on L4 GPUs, (5) assembles the final episode, and (6) publishes it to the website and podcast platforms. The pipeline supports over a dozen episode types including panels, roundtables, debates, and news briefings.
How often are new episodes released?
New episodes are published daily, sometimes multiple per day. Because the pipeline is fully automated, the turnaround from voice prompt to finished audio is typically 15-30 minutes. Each job waits 60 seconds before it spends anything, so I can cancel a mistake, and new episode pages go live on the site at the next half-hourly deploy.
Who is Daniel Rosehill?
Daniel Rosehill is the creator of My Weird Prompts. He's a technology communications specialist based in Jerusalem, Israel, who works with AI, automation, and open-source tools. He built the entire MWP pipeline and records all the voice prompts that drive the show.
Who is Hilbert?
Hilbert Flumingtop is an anteater and the show's producer. He gets an on-air turn in every episode, usually with a deadpan and increasingly absurd story from his own life. Together with Corn and Herman he makes up the core cast.
Who was Raz?
Raz was a teddy bear who filled in as host when Corn fell asleep mid-episode (which happened more often than you'd think for a sloth). Raz brought a warm, reassuring energy to the show and is now one of the show's alumni.
Who is Ezra?
Ezra is Daniel's son and the Executive Producer of My Weird Prompts. He provides creative direction from his high chair.
Is the show accurate? Can I trust the facts?
Each episode is grounded in web research before the script is written, but there is no separate LLM fact-checking pass, and AI-generated content can contain inaccuracies. Treat the show as entertainment and exploration, not as an authoritative source. Always verify important claims independently.
Where can I listen?
My Weird Prompts is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and directly on the website at myweirdprompts.com. You can also subscribe via RSS for use in any podcast app.
Is the project open source?
The generation process is fully documented and transparent — you can read the complete pipeline architecture on my technical page. The episode archive is published as an open dataset on Hugging Face, including transcripts, metadata, and embeddings. The codebase itself is currently in a private repository.
How much does each episode cost to produce?
Production costs are projected at around 20 cents per episode, down from about 43 cents in September 2026. The main cost driver is text-to-speech generation using Chatterbox on three parallel L4 GPU workers via Modal — about 13 cents of GPU time per episode (projected) since October 2026, when a CUDA-graph fp16 decode made speech rendering nearly three times faster. Additional smaller costs come from LLM API calls (DeepSeek V4.1 Flash) for research, script generation, and metadata extraction, plus cover art generation via fal.ai.
Can I suggest a topic for an episode?
Yes! Use the form at https://myweirdprompts.com/send-a-prompt/ or email your question to prompts@myweirdprompts.com. Every prompt is read by a human, and the best ones become episodes.
What happened to Jim from Ohio and Larry?
Jim from Ohio (a cantankerous recurring caller) and Larry (the ad break maestro) were regular fixtures in Season 1. They're now alumni, along with Raz, Bernard, Jacob, Mindy, and Tim. The core cast today is Corn, Herman, and Hilbert.
